To vote in Pennsylvania, you must first register to vote at least 30 days before the election.

You can register to vote online, by mail, or at a number of government agencies, including Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Photo License and Driver’s License Centers.

Registering to vote

NOTE: the last day to register before the 2019 MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION was 4/22/2019. Any application submitted now until 5/21/2019 will be held and processed the day after the 2019 GENERAL ELECTION. If you are registering for the first time and are not already registered to vote, you will not be able to vote in the 2019 MUNICIPAL PRIMARY.

Updating your registration

If you are already registered to vote in Pennsylvania, you do not have to register again unless you need to change your name, address, or political party.
